Unorthodox Shooting Platforms

Provides the officer assigned to uniform duties with the classroom and tactical “hands on” training necessary to safely encounter suspects under various field conditions. Students will receive instruction and demonstrate enforcement procedures incorporating a continuum of force and safety applications. Training will include high risk vehicle stops, building searches, arrest tactics, shooting, first responder procedures, psychological conditioning, gun retention/take away, judgement shooting, use of force liability issues and case law.

Provides the plainclothes officer with the tactical “hands on” techniques necessary to safely encounter suspects under various field conditions. Students will receive instruction and demonstrate concealed hand gun and impact weapon utilization, weapon protection techniques, high risk warrant service procedures, and unmarked vehicle stops.

Gives experienced police officers training in the components of a survival shooting course. Students during class will design survival shooting courses of fire or singular and multi-suspect encounters, night fire, flinch response, move and shoot techniques, concealment and room entries. Training will emphasize partner communications, case law, and statistical information and liability issues related to the use of deadly force.

An advanced course for individuals or teams and involves demanding tactical training and weapon skills. Course will focus on contemporary operational skills involving deliberate clearing tactics for execution of high-risk searches and clearing missions. Will address team operations, interior search procedures which maximize use of cover and concealment, transition to/from dynamic clearing situations, use of mirrors, shields, and other specialized equipment.

This course will provide instruction and fractal exercises focused on the specific needs of the police rifle operator. The course includes the use and application of the patrol rifle as it pertains to Law Enforcement and the skills to properly maintain it. Students will gain hands-on-experience with the patrol rifle. The class will include, but will not be limited to, the following topics: nomenclature, disassembly, assembly, loading, unloading, stoppage clearance, principles of marksmanship, patrol deployment, reloading drills, care and cleaning, low light firing, transition drills, use of cover, close quarter battle, moving/multiple targets, firing on the move, malfunction/stoppage drills, qualification courses of fire and written test.

Introduces officers to basic weapons and tactical skills associated with the responsibilities of a SWAT team member. Training includes member selection and team make up, keys to survival, introduction to tactical weapons and movement of fire, weapon retention and take away, tactical building searches, rappelling, incident management under SMEAC and liability issues.

For individuals or teams who are full-time, sworn law enforcement officers. Involves demanding tactical training and rigorous physical activity. The course will focus on contemporary tactical procedures and weapons skills which will prepare the officer to function as a team member. Also covered will be team organization, operations and movement involving dynamic and deliberate clearing procedures, basic rappelling and live fire mission executions.

A basic course for individuals or teams who are full-time sworn law enforcement officers. Involves demanding tactical training and rigorous physical activity. Will focus on contemporary tactical procedures and weapons skills which will prepare the officer to function as a team member. Also covered will be team organization, operations and movement involving dynamic and deliberate clearing procedures, and live fire mission executions.
